**Why should learn Thamil through thamil”pa*vai?**

Nearly 1.5 to 2.0 million Thamil people who are living and studying other languages as their first language in all over the world including Tamil Nadu and other states in India speak Thamil but they cannot read and write their mother tongue. In this way Thamil is disappearing from those people and their descendants.

Thamil is not only the language merely it also teaches the life style and ethics because Thamil is culture-based language. It can’t be allowed that Thamil students are leaving without studying Thamil. We must find the alternative route for that. It’s the one may be thamil”pa*vai which is not bad.

There are several writers who have written books using English letters and symbols to explain and learn Thamil. But they did not fulfil the requirements fully. Reasons are that

The letters can’t be conveyed because they need apps or fonts to use through the computer.

Those letters have no names to spell the words.

Meanwhile, Thamil”pa*vai alphabet fulfils all these requirements regarding Thamil letters. Three symbols which have been used to create necessary letters as in the Thamil alphabet that can be used via computers and phones. Those letters created can be called by names.

The way of studying Thamil through English characters will attract significantly the children and youngsters of inheritors of Thamil people who are hesitating to learn Thamil due to the fear of Thamil letters or retreating to learn due to the negligence.

By order of appearance, Tamil would be considered the world’s oldest language as it is over 5,000 years old, having made its first appearance in 3,000 BC. The literature collection in Tamil, which is a classical language, is very vast. (Google – 26 Jan 2018)
